 Darklands
I remember one of the first games I bought was a Microprose product called Darklands. I remember hacking up boot disks trying to get that game to run, and finally beating the final stages of the game.My characters were legendary!!

I stuck it in the cupboard and forgot about it until I happened to come across it when looking for some old computer disks. So it got installed back on my machine (Windows XP pro) again. But it would not run at all so I went searching for help forums on the game. That is when I found www.darklands.net, and also the Yahoo Group for Darklands. After joining in the forum for a while, there were some techie guys there busy decompiling the data files, trying to work out bugs, decode the image formats. And this was all leading towards either making a Darklands clone, or perhaps our own RPG set in a different time, but the same playability and depth of history. Have a look at RPGEngines for C# my ports.

Anyways, some of the guys from the Darklands Yahoo Group and I are starting an RPG project. This will eventually lead into a remake of Darklands, and possibly expansion packs for the Darklands game setting (but not the original game).
